Removing your data

1. Disconnect one account, now
Open your journal's Journal Newsroom page, find the network under Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and press Disconnect. The permission we hold for that account is deleted at once and nothing is posted there again. Posts already published stay where they are — they belong to your account, not to us — and you can delete them there yourself.
2. From Facebook or Google's own settings
On Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find Smart Scholars and remove it. On Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions, find Smart Scholars and remove access. Either of these ends our permission immediately; the next time this app tries to use it, it fails and the journal's page says so.
3. Delete everything we hold for the journal
Write to mou@smartscholars.in from the e-mail address on the account, with the journal's name and the words delete my data. We reply with what is held, delete it within 30 days, and confirm when it is done. If part of it cannot be deleted — a DOI record already registered at Crossref, for instance, which is a public record we cannot withdraw — we say exactly which part and why, rather than quietly keeping it.
What "everything" means
- The journal's profile and every credential stored against it.
- Every record of work done for it, and every file built for it.
- Every social account permission, and the drafts and posts written for it here.
- The sign-in account itself, if you ask for that too.
